Stem Programs
Calperum Connect:
STEM programs are designed to students in years 8 – 10 at a critical time when they are exploring their pathway through education. The 3-day retreat and related STEM activities will:
- Provide practical, learning-by-doing experiences in STEM subjects and relate this learning to real-world problems and situations such as water resources and global warming.
- Broaden their view of the opportunities STEM learning provides.
- Define a pathway to accredited training and an opportunity to explore a career in STEM-related fields.
- Develop a support network (e.g., mentoring and peer support) through the learning program.
- Experience STEM-related cultural activities with Aboriginal Rangers and mentors.
