Lose yourself on country with Calperum Station rangers and learn from our ecologists on the Calperum Ecology Walking Tour and Morning Tea on Wednesday 6th April 2022.

Immerse yourself in the majesty of this unique environment, as we guide you along the winding creek tracks and experience the floodplain beauty.

Learn about the checkered history, diverse ecology and deep cultural aspects of Calperum Station whilst experiencing first hand the beauty of the bush surrounds.
Observe first hand the incredible native plants and animals that call this hidden gem, the special Calperum habitat, home.

The walking trail gently follows creek and wetland tracks retuning to a delicious morning tea.  The experience will take approximately three hours.

This walk is kept to a limit of twenty walkers allowing an intimate experience for everyone.  Bookings are essential.

Important information:

Location:

Meeting at the Calperum Station office carpark, the tour start at 9:30am returning to the office at approximately 12:30pm.
There is plenty of parking for cars and vans and there are amenities on site.
Calperum Station office is just 15 minutes north of Renmark.  Take the sign-posted turnoff from the Wentworth Road.  Find us here.

Things to keep in mind: 

• The path of the tour will vary according to seasons, fauna breeding cycles and water levels on the floodplain.
• A reasonable level of independent mobility is required for this walk as while not strenuous, there is uneven terrain.
• Sturdy closed footwear, a hat, sun protection and suitable apparel (such as long pants, long sleeve shirt) is recommended.
• Please advise any dietary requirements on booking.
